All foxes have basically the same eating habits, they all eat small invertebrates that live in the area in which the foxes make their home are at that time. They are also known to eat insects and fruit. Most foxes are considered solitary hunters since cooperative hunting for small animals is not advantageous. Some fox are paired off with their offspring, however some fox have male have been known to have up to 3 -6 females and their offspring. Fox in snowy regions are known to switch to a pure white coat during winter months. During summer months they are a reddish brown and the transition can be a greyish blue color. Foxes can range in size from desert foxes weighing only 1-3 pounds to Arctic foxes which can weigh 6-11 pounds.
